Spring clasp Pouch - Asanoha
Details
Here is a spring clasp Pouch, made with a fabric called "Tatami heri", usually used to cover and finish the raw edges of tatami mats! It's a pretty sturdy fabric that is woven in Japan, usually displaying traditional Japanese patterns (but some present more modern patterns nowadays!). It's very soft yet strong. It's made of polyester (unfortunately, as I would have preferred a more natural material!).
The clasp is pretty interesting: it's made of iron, but because it's flexible, it feels as if it was made with a spring! You open the pouch by putting your fingers on each side of the top part (where the clasp is) and by pressing them closer together (as if you had crab claws for example)!
This pouch is perfect to store cards and/or small items such as lip balm or lipstick, makeup, clips, etc. It also closes very well so you could also use them to store some coins!
It roughly measures 12,5 x 8 cm.
I also attached my handmade tag (embroidered by hand by me) on its left side!
